A Rare Santa Treat...

Santa magically appeared at my mother in law's house on Friday night...It was a very nice treat/surprise. I love this picture because Sandal Boy knows Santa is there...but doesn't want to acknowledge the situation....
I like this one...because she is so skeptical of the situation....

She announced, that wasn't the real Santa after he left. Just a helper.

Santa Baby

I have tried to get the kids to wear the Santa Hats and well Sandal boy will not cooperate until ah ha, Saturday morning he comes up to me...Cheese wearing the hat. He then proceeds to pose all around the house by Christmas things. I hope you enjoy. My favorite is the one Sandal Boy trying to make a funny face...

Trip Memories....

Well we made it to Florida in one piece. It was bitter sweet. It was a memory but a hard memory. Enjoy some of the pictures...I took 406 but won't subject you to that (but if you want to see, email me and I will send you the link).

Waiting for the Pirate Fireworks Boat Ride...this was alot of fun...Sandal Boy slept through it.

The Coral Reef in EPCOT...very good food!
Buzzlight Year...To Infinity and Beyond!
Hi...I love Lightning McQueen, Mater, CARS in general...and I am going to act like a poop cause I'm 2!!!!
What a girl...
Breakfast with Minnie & Friends...
Midnight...they are supposed to be sleeping...how is that working out?
Smile and pretend like you like each other!!!
Hey dude...Piglet is behind you...Oh you know...Are you pretending he isn't there...oh I get it...you are scared crapless.
What's up Tinkerbell? I would recommend dress up clothes for any little girl going to a Disney Resort...the cast loves them and gives them lots of things.
Oh hey...I did have some fun on this trip...thanks to the candy!
We paid extra to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party-very cool.
Maybe this does it justice?!? FYI-I hate blogger...I can't get my pictures in the right order without cussing.
My little buddy...oh how I love having a boy.
If I was to send Christmas cards...this might be a contender...All appearing happy and enjoying ourselves.
I cannot even describe to you how beautiful the castle was covered in lights that looked like snow. This picture does not do it justice, but Sandal Boys' words were Oh, oh, oh, oh! And he didn't like anything this trip!
I made shirts for all of us...It's All About Grandma Kathy-Disney World November 2008...I'm glad I did it.

Off...

Hopefully we are off to Florida tomorrow AM (very early AM). The kids are excited to see Mickey and friends. Sandal Boy is sick...I only hope he is good in the morning. Praying hard. He has been one sick boy. His dad has really taken care of his this week. With missing 3 days...I couldn't miss work. Here's to (hopefully) seeing Mickey soon!

Life is a Highway...

No pictures today because I am too lazy to hook up the camera, but lots has happened this weekend.

Friday we had dinner with Aron's dad, and the kids were fairly normal in the restaurant-which was great!

Saturday I had a dentist appointment, craft show at Millard West, Husker Game, and the Rascal Flatts/Taylor Swift concert. I had way too much fun, that is all I will say. My sister and I went together...which is usually a recipe for disaster and this was no exception.

All I Want...

Is a stinking picture in our Husker shit in front of the pumpkins (I don't know why I get these ideas, but I do and won't quit until it works)...well at least I got a sweet ass picture in our Husker shit. Not bad for the camera being on top of the Tahoe and me running to be in it...Let me know what you think...I guess I can leave it up year round...since no pumpkins. Like the dark hair?

Hot Vomit & Split Pea Poop

DISCLAIMER-NOT FOR WEAK STOMACHS....

How can something so cute produce such a mess? And I am not talking about the camel. This post is not for the faint at heart. I saw the look of "oh shit, I am going to blow chunks" I ran to grab a towel and tried to put it under his mouth to catch the vomit and well he moved and hot vomit went all over my hands. I guess I have never had the opportunity to touch freshly spewed vomit before, but good lord it is burning hot. Poor dude, cried cause he made a mess. What a sweet boy. Fast forward 2 hours. "I pee." Okay, get the wipes, a diaper. Yeah you did pee, split pea poop. Holy cow. So that is my day, home from work with hot vomit and green pea poop. The only good thing...my bustling baby boy let me hold him all day long! Let's hope I don't get what he had! Oh and smelling dirty dishes, that is because the sink was (still is) backed up. Should be awesome since I have like 20 people coming over tomorrow night.

What I'm Up To...

Sitting on our leather recliner...

Smelling the dirty dishes.

Listening to Brothers & Sister and the dogs destroying something in the other room.

Drinking beer.

Reading Educational Law book, School Culture, and my favorite...People Magazine!

Loving that our pictures turned out today!!!

Dreading no comment. Says itself.

Eagerly anticipating Porter talking more...

Worrying again...no comment. Says itself.

Wishing someone would cure cancer...I didn't have to deal with tough stuff.

Praying as often as I can, though probably not as often as I should.

Grateful for my parents.

Sharing not as well as I should.

Borrowed from another blog...

A Fall Favorite...

It is that time of year...Vala's opens! We love that place. We get a family pass and go numerous times through the Halloween season. This weekend was no exception. I got the annual pumpkin picture...which doesn't mean I won't keep trying for more..but this is good. I especially like the sign that says do not climb on the pumpkins!

Political Stuff

I don't ever really do political stuff...cause well lots of reasons...

here is one reason...wow...I hope she gets to run our country and keep the bad guys out. I think she might need a Speech Pathologist for her random language thoughts. Good thing she looks pretty!

:(

I don't know when I will be able to post to this...it may be often...it may be awhile. Our family is going through something really tough right now. Something no one should ever have to go through. We have a very sick family member and we are praying for the miracles of all miracles right now. Please keep all of us in your thoughts and deepest constant prayers...especially these two...and their daddy.

9-11 Remembered

Who can forget where they were...I was student teaching...we had one TV in the lounge and were urged not to let the students know...little did we know how bad it was. That night and for days I was glued to the TV, the Boot up your Ass #1's behavior class was canceled...the images I think are burned in everyone's head.

What is interesting to me...alot of the kids I teach...were not alive that day, including Sandal Boy & Princess Flip Flop.

Just breathe....

Unless you were in Phoenix with me over Spring Break...that means nothing. But it does mean it is Friday night and I can finally breathe for a few days. I have seriously been going nonstop for the past 5 days. I have 2 schools, 2 graduate classes, 2 kids, 2 dogs...and well just one hubby. I also have a mother in law who is in the hospital and my parents (my saviors) left for sunny California this week. So I have been a little busy. Graduate school is very interesting online. The one class is fine, the other...holy shit. It is Educational Law (sounds like a rip roaring good time right?). My portion of the assignment this week is to summarize the Constitution...really. Well good luck to me. I have until Tuesday at midnight to do that. I have had Mr. Boots helping me cause there are words in the Constitution that I and GOOGLE have no idea what they mean.

Oh and don't forget our remodel project in our kitchen. We have ripped out the pretty fruit tiles and dry wall. We are left with studs (not male studs but wood studs) at this point. We, by we I mean Mr. Boots, has to re drywall tomorrow and I get to paint the walls and stain the new cabinet we are putting in. My goal when I get up on Monday to go to work is: paint done, drywall done, and cabinet up and being used. It is/has been alot of work...but I started painting tonight and I tell you what...it is going to look so nice. I am super excited. Mr. Boots said he is glad I am pushing him with this cause he procrastinates...oh really hadn't noticed that in 8 years!!!! But we are on a deadline. Sandal Boy's birthday is Sept. 21. And this will be done and looking spiffy.

So my plate is full...okay more like toppling over and spilling out the front door...but what else do I have to do these days? OH yeah...laundry. We are almost to the go to the store to buy socks cause we don't have any clean ones.

Mr. Boots and the Plane

So Mr. Boots took a ride with his dad today in a small aircraft. Don't worry, he made it back safely...but he and I (somewhat) was concerned. His dad recently earned his pilots license and Mr. Boots was his second passenger (which is the scary part). He got some really cool aerial photos that I will have to upload from the computer. But between work and college classes...my time is dwindling.

Flip flops are not optional

Well the new dress code with my district have proved, flip flops are not optional. We are to dress professional. Well let me tell you what dressing professional means, I am supposed to run up and down the hill in heels. What happened here is irreversible damage to my feet. I have blisters, sores and blood in places that I did not think were possible. I have now resorted to borrowing my mothers shoes...I might have to make a visit to Dr. McDreamy (Her Orthopedist). I guess it wouldn't be that bad.

Fishing & Picnics

I LOVE MY BROTHER!!!!!

Today we went to a local lake with my family. We took the kids fishing...or attempted to take the kids fishing. Sandal Boy tangled himself in the fishing line. And Princess Flip Flop said after 2 casts...there are no fish in this lake.

(My favorite picture-he looks like a real fisherman!)

The highlight of the trip was when Mr. Boots came over to tell me that Princess Flip Flop had taken candy from a stranger and it was in her mouth when he took it out. After much yelling, talking, and asking questions (um did you know Snow White ate a poisonous apple?)...at which point I was getting ready to go "talk" to the people that gave her the candy. She bursts into tears...okay I will tell you the truth...I FOUND A PIECE OF CANDY IN THE SAND AND PUT IT IN MY MOUTH. UM HELLO?!? I then said "why don't you just chew gum from under tables?" She says, "I can do that?" Holy cow. I tell her she is one of the smartest 1st graders I know and that is the stupidest thing she has ever done.

Open wide...

I have included some random pictures from the day.

1st Grade...

1st Grade Pictures

So Princess Flip Flop started FIRST GRADE today...man I feel old! I dragged her hiney out of bed at 6:30AM. I had a meeting that I could not miss. I missed taking her to school...I was sad...she was sad. So I got her up at 6:30 to get her ready and take her picture on the steps. My mom always did this...now I have started too...why? I do not know. Anyways...day one went well. She liked her teacher and...well everyone!!!! She came home with one paper she colored...IN THE LINES!!! She read me Go Dog Go! tonight...hello...long book! I am hoping she keeps her talking to a minimum and has a great first grade experience!
